Many developments require an assessment of their potential impact on mammals and BEC Consultants offer advice and professional services in relation to mammals of conservation interest.  We can advise on the legal status of particular species and appropriate survey methodologies and can develop suitable mitigation measures to reduce or eliminate the effects of developments on mammals. BEC Consultants staff have conducted surveys for otters and badgers for a number of major infrastructure developments including motorways, pipelines, industrial developments and housing projects. These projects have included mapping of badger territories and the design of mitigation measures including mammal fencing and the provision of artificial setts. We can also provide expertise on specialist bat surveys through our experienced team of sub-contractors.
