Client: Meath County Council

BEC Consultants produced habitat maps for three towns in County Meath, Slane, Ashbourne and Moynalty, to aid in the finalisation of Local Area Plans.  The habitats within the town boundaries were mapped following Fossitt’s (2000) A Guide to Habitats in Ireland and recommendations were provided for their future management. A species list was also recorded for each of the habitats observed within the survey area.  In addition, a literature search collated information on all conservation designations within County Meath and relevant Environmental Impact Assessments. The Botanical Society of Britain and Ireland also provided records for the Moynalty area.
